How Stolen Bases Works

Each runner is scored on attempt rate, success rate, recent SB activity, and sprint speed — then weighted by the opposing pitcher's pickoff frequency, time to plate, and the catcher's caught-stealing rate. Strong opportunity setups (top quartile in both runner profile and battery weakness) get a + Matchup flag. Refreshes daily once lineups confirm.
