How Hot Hitters Works
Each player is scored on a rolling window of their last 7 games — hits, extra-base hits, batting average, OPS, and active hit streak — then weighted against career splits versus today's starting pitcher when available. Players flagged + Matchup have a meaningful career sample (15+ AB) against the opposing starter and rank in the top quartile of those splits. The Last 3 and Last 7 tabs strip out the matchup component and rank pure recent form.
